The Company
Harry’s has been a leader on the French market of branded pre-packed bakery products for 40 years. From the beginning, the company’s goal has been to offer people diversified and healthy products.
The Challenge
In 2005, Harry’s decided to switch to a different vendor for antivirus protection of its computer network. The main goals were to install a system capable of effective threat detection and recovery of damaged files. In addition, there was a strong need for an effective administration console.
The solution
Once the decision was reached to change the IT security solution, the top manager of Harry’s Miscroset project Patrick Bonnefond turned to Kaspersky Lab specialists whom he had met a few months earlier at the IT technology show. In September 2006, Kaspersky Open Space Security, along with the new Administration console, was installed on all company’s servers and client workstations. The customer was completely satisfied, and Harry's later installed the program on 250 mobile devices. Such extension was made possible due to the additional client firewall integrated into version 6.0. “We are especially pleased with the Administration console because of its convenience and high performance,” said Patrick Bonnefond. “If I was to be critical, I would say that excess functions on the client could distract the user. On the other hand, proactive protection from pop-up windows does not always work.” The war against cybercriminals continues. Data theft and Internet fraud can still cause real harm. Understanding all potential threats, Harry’s intends to continue cooperation with Kasperky Lab and is planning to install antivirus protection on its pool of smartphones.
